I have been interested in how people work since I studied Psychology 20 years ago. This led to my passion for learning and looking at how our brains work, why people behave the way they do and why we are all so different. This then guided me to start studying Reiki in 2008. I qualified as a Reiki Master Practitioner 2 years ago and started my journey as a therapist working with Hypnotherapy and Counselling and NLP.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energise, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral, safe and confidential space, whilst listening to your concerns, and customising a treatment plan. I feel my role as a Therapist is to be non-judgmental and give people the tools, confidence and support that they can use to make the lifestyle changes they desire.

Hypnotherapy is a complementary treatment that uses the power of suggestion to bring about positive change in our subconscious mind, affecting thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It is important to understand that under hypnosis you are completely in control at all times and it is simply a relaxed state where suggestions can guide you to make positive changes to your life.

Reiki is an energy healing that originates from Japan by founder Mikao Usui. It is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation and is administered by fully clothed, hands-on treatment based on the idea that life force energy flows through all living things. It is when this energy is blocked we may feel unwell, unbalanced and have low energy. Reiki treatments can make you feel like a wonderful warm glow surrounds you, leaving you feeling calm and relaxed. Reiki treats you as a whole; treating mind, body and emotions. Reiki can promote health and well-being, helps with pain management, relieves depression, reduces anxiety, aids relaxation, improves sleep, soothes digestion, strengthens self-esteem and releases stress and tension amongst many other issues.
Along with Reiki treatments I also teach Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Master/Teacher levels.

Hopi Ear Candling is a non-invasive treatment that is gentle and relaxing. It involves placing a hollow, cone shaped candle made of cotton, beeswax, honey and herbs into the ear canal. This stimulates the ear to facilitate the removal of excess wax and impurities. Ear candling can promote deep relaxation and help to relieve stress. While relaxing in a comfortable position the ear is massaged to stimulate the pressure points, the candle is then gently placed into the ear and held in place as it burns for around 10-15 minutes before being extinguished. You are likely to hear crackling sounds as the candle burns, along with a warm relaxing feeling. This process is repeated in the second ear. Once both ears have been treated you will receive a facial pressure point massage to encourage lymphatic drainage which will stimulate the release of blockages in the sinuses, ear, nose and throat.
A session will last 1 hour

Pain is a sign that something is wrong with the body and medical assistance should always be sought first.
If you experience pain on a regular basis hypnosis can help with relaxation and pain management linking mind and body. The focus is purely on relaxation reducing any build-up of stress and anxiety that your body holds due to pain. Hypnosis refocuses your mind away from the pain, often using visualisation including using heat as a comfort and distraction from the pain. Hypnosis can also treat the side effects of pain such as insomnia, anxiety, stress and depression through working with relaxation techniques and coping mechanisms.
Anxiety, stress and panic is what happens when your body senses fear and danger. It is individual to each person and can be mild or severe. Everyone experiences it at some point in their lives, we call this the fight or flight response. It is essential when treating anxiety, stress and panic that the treatment plan is individual and personalised to your triggers. You will be taught to relax physically, mentally and emotionally and to let go of things you cannot change, stop over thinking and over analysing. You will learn techniques for coping with anxiety, panic and stress along with support and guidance.
With a pack of 20 cigarettes costing an average of £9.91, a habit of 20 a day will cost just under £70 a week. Along with the health implications, that’s a very good reason to look at stopping smoking. Everyone has their own reason for wanting to stop and with hypnosis, support and guidance together we can create a personalised treatment plan.
In the consultation you will complete an information form answering questions regarding your smoking habit and the reasons for wanting to stop smoking. With this information we will build a personalised treatment plan with either a plan to stop in two sessions or build up a stop smoking plan. Everybody’s habit is different, therefore each treatment plan will be individual. Motivation is extremely important when deciding when to stop smoking and it is imperative that you want to stop for yourself and are highly motivated.
For many people a build-up of years of bad habits is preventing weight loss and with hypnosis I will deal with the emotions linked to over eating. Hypnosis along with guidance and support will teach you to listen to your body, only eat when you are hungry and stop when you feel satisfied, building a new relationship and habits with food. This is a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. Together we will build a personalised treatment plan which suits you and your lifestyle giving you back the ability to control your relationship with food.
Habits and addictions can be deeply ingrained in the subconscious mind. With hypnosis we can create a personalised treatment plan to change these unwanted habits and addictions. In some cases this could include looking at underlying issues so you do not transfer the habit or addiction onto something else . The treatment plan will be individual to you. I can help you and with support and guidance, you will learn new behavioural responses to create a new lifestyle change.
